Default Ping: Michael "Dogs3) Puck stand mixer

My Wolfgang Puck stand mixer is the 700 Watt model CMSD0020. Go here to
see a picture and read the blurb: http://www.maywork.com/wopucostmi70.html

It came with the meat grinder and the slicer/shredder attachment, which
pretty much does what a food processor does. No problems with any
attachments so far, bought the mixer in 2006, almost exactly two years
ago. HTH

Looks suspiciously like a updated sleeker Kenwood stand mixer. These made
in UK and exported to everywhere under different house brands. My older
model is under Rival. Also under the DeLonghi name. Basically, a good
reliable mixer that does the job. Higher motor ratings (as Sheldon once
pointed out) do not actually denote more power, as these mixers go through
two sets of right angle bevel gears instead of just one, like the
KitchenAid. These right angle gears greatly reduce power output of motor.
Nonetheless, they are very good products and I have no problem recommending
them to anyone.

The one advantage over the KitchenAid line is Kenwood's insane variety of
attachments (a power kibbe maker!). The mixer has 3 power take-off points,
each a different speed. My Rival boasted a total of 21 separate
attachments. Unfortunately, Rival bailed as a supplier after me buying only
3 of the total 21 and I've never found a supplier that sold the whole
selection since. If you do, stay away from the burr coffee grinder
attachment, as it sucks for anything but drip. I'd love to find the pasta
roller attachment, but doubt the new models are compatible with my older
one. [sigh]
