![]() I have some leftover steak and an acorn squash. I'm trying squash again hoping that's not what caused my hives a few weeks ago. In order to round out the meal I made some pasta puttanesca, my favorite sauce. Got all the goodies together. http://i34.tinypic.com/2ev5lio.jpg While the pasta was cooking I started the sauce. Heat up the olive oil and add some garlic and then the tomatoes. http://i37.tinypic.com/34ir80g.jpg Add the anchovies. After the tab to the can breaks and you need to get out your trusty Leatherman to open it. http://i37.tinypic.com/24xkufa.jpg Then the capers, oregano and red pepper flakes go in. http://i33.tinypic.com/nfoawp.jpg The olives are added at the last minute. Plated with shavings of Parmesan cheese. http://i37.tinypic.com/2cdheeg.jpg Sirloin steak and squash. I haven't started itching yet. http://i36.tinypic.com/1z4woew.jpg koko There is no love more sincere than the love of food George Bernard Shaw www.kokoscorner.typepad.com updated 11/09 |

Then I put on sliced garlic, black olives, and the rest of the Puttanesca ingredients. Then Parmesan, along with dried oregano, and a sprinkling of olive oil. It turns out well. Might make one tonight, in fact!! Christine |
