She's on her way home now. Her Brother flew down from Minnesota and he's
driving her home.

The reason I said Duh was that I had just asked about her in another

Don't pay any attention to Sheldon. TFM has something he wants and
Sheldon is just frustrated that he can't have it.

Indeed, but responding to Shel-dumb is like feeding trolls. They thrive
on the attention, even negative attention. Perhaps especially negative
attention.

Sorry mate, I've only had 2 good IPA's in the last few months. I've all but
quit drinking beer. At least that swill I used to call beer.

I think I could get up to Noo Yawk and back on a hogshead of either rum or
good Scotch. I could use some help with the ammo. There should be nothing
left but a red mist.

That's good to hear. Getting as far away from a hospital is a good thing

So what's the medical prognosis?

I'll leave that up to her to tell you. Honestly it goes into way too much
depth than I can get into here.

Once again, thanks to all you good people who've been so supportive through
all this.

No sweat. Tell her to take it easy and rest up before trying to get back
into here.

There's no problem with her getting rest. They poked and prodded her all
hours of the night. When I called her this morning before I went to work
she said they'd been testing her since 4 in the morning.

<sarcasm>
The had to test if the insurance was still paying.
</sarcasm>

She's sleeping like a baby and I assume she will be for many hours. I'll
sleep on the couch because I snore and make other distasteful bodily noises
in my sleep.

Thank you Peter,

Yes Barb, I promise. I'm sorry I didn't do it, but it's been a bit (I wanna

I understand, Allan. The beauty of the CaringBridge sites is that you
(patient or patient's representative or family or whomever) can write
the story once in one place and well wishes can wish well there. You
(or others as indicated above) don't have to repeat the story, can reply
privately to well-wishers, and can screen comments to post. The
underlying philosophy is to reduce stress on patient and family by not
having to repeat the story umpteen individual times. It's a wonderful
thing and a wonderful way to express concern in an appropriate fashion
and place. Interested parties can sign up to an automatic alert if you
post something to the CB site, notifying people of new info to stay
current on her progress and pitfalls.

I will, but you just did. Hopefully tomorrow she can sit at her computer
and start to detangle the threads.

Once again, thanks so very much to (almost) everyone for all the kind
responses.
Sorry I didn't keep everybody updated on a daily basis, but there were no

Yes, and thank you.

She's sleeping soundly for the first time in almost 2 weeks.

The cool part is I don't have to call her to talk to her.

Shhhh... we don't want to wake her.

Glad to hear she's out of hospital and doing O.K. I hope. Look
forward to seeing her posts when she's up to it. Her sweet nature
counteracts the ascerbic flavour of some of your posts. (JUST
KIDDING). My best wishes to you both in what has to be a really
trying time.
