Default cooking black bean

At Chiptole, it tased so good but I tried boiling black bean and it
didn't come out the same. Help needed.

And w.r.t red bean: Anyone has the eaisst recipe to make red bean and
rice (paboiled rice)?

What DID your beans come out like?

I make black beans all the time. Rinse and let soak overnight. Drain,
then simmer with fresh water and salt for an hour or so until tender or
to your liking.

Or you can just buy canned - which is what Chipotle does.

It got split (open) and the color didn't stay nice black either.

Ah..I was supposed to simmer.

I might but I prefer making fresh food because I grew up with it.
