So, it's a trick you can use every time you are going to grill or fry eggplant. My favorite compliment from my children was the time we were having very good grilled vegetables somewhere in a restaurant in Italy and they said "But *your* grilled eggplant is better!". (Ny second favorite compliment is when they saw all the hype about Sarah Palin being sexy in the newspapers - yes, it appeared even here - and they said "She's not sexy, and she looks old!". Isaid that she was 4 years younger than I am, she's not old, and they replied "But she looks *much* older than you" - now, that, coming from a teenager prone to say "That necklace you're wearing is really ugly", is one hell of a compliment!)
