Be not afraid - the beauty of this country is simple. Always remember we are
not electing a Dictator nor an Emperor, nor a King. No matter how good or
bad we have a chance every 2, 4, & 6 years to virtually change our
government.

Yep, *exactly*...and you have to deal with the results - for better or worse
considering yer politcal stance - and then move on...some people are still
crying about so - and - so not winning whatever election. That's not real
productive...

[The way some some of these liberal Dems think is that Obama should be the
only candidate on the Presidential ballot and that peeps should only be
permitted to vote "yes" or "no"...kinda like the 'ole USSR or other
dictatorships. But then current US liberalism *is* fascism,
donchyaknow...it's very scary...!!! ]

But at least my post had "WOT" in front of the topic, which is more
than the OP can say. ;-)

And you can speak for yourself in the cooking area - most of the
regulars can cook and can discuss it. Can you?

I don't know how you came up with that line of thought, Greg.

You're sounding like a scared conservative right now - looking for the

If Palin is such a pit bull, then why did she return to Alaska after the
convention instead of going out on the campaign trail with McCain?
Normally at this stage of a presidential campaign, the VP on the ticket
would be out on the stump trail giving speeches and doing interviews
with the news media, on talk shows, etc. but this VP candidate made a
hasty retreat back to her home state. Some pit bull that is.

The reason for Palin's retreat is obvious. She was poorly vetted.
McCain's campaign staff are stuck with her so the best they could do in
this sort period of time is to send her back to Alaska in the hopes that
she won't open her mouth in public and give us even more evidence that
she's a lying hypocrite with ideas that are totally out of step with
moderate and independent voters who McCain needs to woe over.

While Palin is back to Alaska, I hope she finds the time in her busy
life to return that $230 million she says she turned down for that
bridge to nowhere, but still hasn't returned to us American taxpayers.
And maybe when she resumes her work as Alaska's governor, she can
actually get Alaskan's off the public teat rather then supporting
lobbying efforts in Washington that cause Alaska to be the top ranked
state in receiving federal earmarks, based per capita.

Obama is a Trojan horse. What is really inside is the real mystery and
will be the big surprise. His ties are closer to the east than the west.

stan is most certainly right about this. she was 100% behind the bridge to
nowhere until it turned out the alaskans would have to pay for some of it.
in any case, alaska got *all* the money in that appropriation, it just
wasn't used for the bridge. this has been debunked extensively, but that
doesn't deter republicans from lying about it. she also hired a lobbyist
when she was mayor of wasilla to help pry pork from uncle sugar.

as to *per capita* expenditures, here's a chart:

more on her pork love he

not that i expect facts to sway you; you're too proud of your ignorance.
but other people might take note.

this is complete nonsense, and all but fools know it. he's written two
books and spent the last year explaining who he is.

even if it was true, i would choose it over the wonders of bush iii.

Well Blake he wrote two autobio's by the time he was 45. Most men wait
until they are in their 60s +, when they have something to talk about.
Both of Obana's book did not sell very well until he started to run
for president, after 140 days in the senate. Less face it, Obama an
empty suit.

You keep trying to say that he has experience.
I have asked before, what law did he introduce and get passed?

So since her campaign stump does not meet your idea of the correct schedule
she is no good? Geez Stan, you have to stop obsessing about stuff that you
have no control over, have no information about and does not affect your
life. Speculation of some stuff is just plain silly.
