It doesn't match anything else in my kitchen ... but by the time I get everything painted and a new floor, it will. however I wanted the orange KA mixer ... but the model that I wanted only comes in white. BUT, I have considered taking it to a car painting place and looking into getting it painted. |

We moved in to a plethora of 1960s-1990s appliances, mostly in bronze or coppertone. I think I am just going to replace with white, because I like the clean, bright look of it, and I can just change my towel and accessory color. Our new refrigerator is white. (Stainless is lovely in big, new, well appointed kitchens, but would look out of place in my small, old kitchen. Also, it can look "industrial" to me.) |

I wouldn't want to take care of stainless steel, although I do like the look. Personally, I prefer black appliances, which is what we have. Although our black refrigerator has what "appears" to be stainless steel doors, it's actually brushed aluminum under a layer of matte acrylic. It neither spots, fingerprints, nor stains. Right now we have a stainless steel sink which will be replaced with a black cast iron sink as soon as finances permit. -- Wayne Boatwright ------------------------------------------- Thursday, 06(VI)/19(XIX)/08(MMVIII) ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- 'My heart stopped. . . ... Many new kitchens or kitchen remodels are being done in more of an "old world" look. Even the most modern appliances are being housed in exteriors that belie their technology. I think many of them are charming. But if it's sleek and modern you want, then stainless steel is still about the only way to go. -- Wayne Boatwright ------------------------------------------- Thursday, 06(VI)/19(XIX)/08(MMVIII) ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- Palindrome isn't one. ------------------------------------------- |

> Are your appliances color coordinated? > > I bought a cobalt blue kitchen aid mixer for it being my favorite color, > that didn't match the kitchen or other appliances. > > You r.f.c-ers got kitchen color coordinated "STUFF"??? > > Andy > Are you kidding? I have black major appliances, a white KA mixer, a black coffee maker, blue Le Creuset cookware, and 13 colors of Fiesta Ware, including pitchers and such that are not inside cabinets.
