Interior decorators know that good decorating doesn't include just
buying "matching" things.

And any good designer with any worth of salt (food reference to keep
it in the group), knows that GOOD art doesn't have to match your sofa.
So....good food doesn't have to match your kitchen.

Design wasn't in question. I think color was the issue.

Andy, having been a member of NSID for nearly two decades (my first
career), I can guarantee you that color is part of design, a very big part.

Nordic Society of Irish Dancers?

First acronym listed when I googled NSID. :-)

You would *not* want to see me attempt an Irish dance. :-)

There was AID (American Institute of Interior Decorators) founded in 1931
and NSID (National Society of Interior Designers) founded in 1957 and of
which I was a member. In 1975, AID and NSID merged to form the American
Society of Interior Designers. This was after I was no longer a memeber.
