For a wedding present my attorney gave us a complete 8 serving set of gold
plated flatware, including 24k gold edged bone china.

I'm 99.999% certain I paid for it!

We were quite proud of our "silver ware" and it was a modern
stainless-steel design actually bought on a visit to Norway and
still looks "modern" 40 years later. The plates etc. were also a
plain modern design but were a present and more expensive than
we could have afforded ourselves. To our great surprise we never
broke anything.
