That's too funny. Last night at dinner with friends we were rolling on
the floor laughing remembering that skit.

The topic just happens to crossover into restaurant business when it
comes to food, cooking and ingredients. I'm sure people that work in
restaurants come here, too.

Fast food would be McDonald's/Burger King. In between fast food and fancy
is a huge segment represented by Cheesecake Factory, Appleby's, Ruby
Tuesday, TGI Friday, etc.

You don't get around much, it seems.

Me arguing? I don't think so. I'm not the one calling people names
here and belittle them just because a chef or two doesn't want to take
the time to whip up a few simple ingredients with an easy recipe to
accomodate a paying customer.

I taught you earlier that the restaurant probably doesn't make the sauce
from scratch, and that it probably comes in portion controlled packets which
they will not split in half for you, and throw the rest away.

Respond to this idea NOW.

Or just resign himself to ordering an entire portion and taking half
home!...Although I once ordered a carbonara or alfredo someplace years
ago and it was delicious fresh and hot. VERY scary when I opened up the
doggy bag later and saw the congealed fat. It most certainly wasn't
butter and cream based but rather something...else?

That's true. You don't name call. You just come in here to bitch and moan
about not being able to order off the menu in a franchise restaurant. I
might suggest that you either go to a restaurant that offers Dr, Pepper and
side orders of Fetticcine al Fredo or learn to order off the menu, but I get
the feeling that you are one of those weenies who thrives on abuse.

I don't get the impression Cheesecake Factory is trying to pass
themselves off as "fancy" but rather eclectic. They succeed very well
there, IMO

Damn. I was trying so hard to appear clean-mouthed and polite.

One reason to go for a chain place that has an open kitchen setup like
Macaroni Grill, where you can at least see much of the cooking process.

Maybe you could share your recipe for Fettuccine Alfredo. My guess is
you don't have any idea how to make it and what ingredients go into
it. Anyplace that has that many things on the menu is not going to
wait until someone orders something to prepare it, They did have a
Roasted Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce Pasta, but that is not Fettuccine
Alfredo. Grow up, get a life, realize the world does not revolve
around you, quit acting like a spoiled brat. Life is so much happier
when you don't complain about every little thing. By the way, I like
Ginger Ale. Unless someplace also has a bar (which is rare here in
Utah) they aren't going to have Ginger Ale, so I drink water or iced
tea. No problem.

Wang and Pedro back in the kitchen are not gourmet chefs.
