I hope it is OK to post this in the group, even if it isn't a recipe.
I am trying to install (and use) my old copy of Mastercook (V6.2) that has not been in use for quite some time. The program has installed OK, but my cookbook is corrupted. Since I don't have all of the recipes (over 100) written down I'd like to see if the cookbook is repairable. Are there any tools available to repair a corrupt cookbook, or any information to help me fix it manually? I can use a programmers editor if necessary. Or is it worth trying a later version of Mastercook to see if it does a better job of recovery? The symptoms are that some recipes have strange characters in titles and/or the text. Thanks! |
