Default How Many Calories In That Turkey Dinner?

I was listening to our local cable news channel this morning. I heard
a claim of 3000 calories. GASP!! I found the following clip that
claims 1160 for "bird sized" portions. I don't like turkey but I'll
still eat the 3.5 oz. A half cup of stuffing and potatoes? That's all
I like! Give me 2 cups of each. A little spoon of gravy? Nope. I
guess whenever we end up having our turkey dinner I'll push that 3000
calorie number. Quite a waste since I don't even like turkey dinner.

3000 calories is pretty far off the chart (so is 1100+) since no news
channel knows how much or what I ate.

Yup. This thread got so few responses because nobody wants to think
about how many calories they were eating. LOL I normally don't pay
much attention to calories but the stories got my attention. I like
lots of butter and cream cheese in mashed potatoes. So I actually
looked at the packages and tried to figure out how many calories I'd
eaten. GASP!!!

The video clip must have come up with those numbers based on soup
kitchen sized portions. Here's one that's more like what I grew up on
and what I've seen people eat.

That would be worse than watching "Lifetime." The victim channel.
