Interesting! I had always thought that Canada just "copied" the holiday
from the US but I guess not!

We're almost ready for our Thanksgiving lunch--roast chicken with lemon and
Penzey's Sunny Paris Seasoning, roasted sweet potatoes (which I accidentally
cooked at too low a temperature so they're not very "roasted"), stir fried
pea shoots, roasted carrots, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts, and for
dessert blueberry pie with whipped cream. Yum!

I found it pretty neat that it mostly originated from the Maritimes, as I am
a Maritimer, Nova Scotia to be specific.

I know I'm a little late in replying to this thread, but I've been so busy
lately, haven't had much of a chance to read through RFC...
