Default It's not summer yet, but... (COC)

The local corn on the cob lately has been sweet and delectable. ;-d

And cheap.

I still microwave it in the husk as it works well, and makes removing
the silk a breeze.

I eat it from side to side.

Anyone else? <G>

How are the tomatoes down in your neck of the woods?

I ask, cause I am already debating routes to take homeward to NM. If
tomatoes are in season in Texas or other parts of the south by July 1,
I might come across Texas... Of course if I do that, that means I
can come through other southern states, including Louisiana....

I'm not sure where it is coming from and it is quite good but up
to 50 cents an ear here. Yes, I microwave and eat side to side
too!

Well, the good ones at the grocery stores (the "on the vine" 'maters)
have been on sale lately, but the ones at the farmers markets are
better. :-)

I've not planted this year even tho' I'd planned to. I spent last
weekend at a friend's place that had planted late, and his are just
setting fruits.

So it's going to vary a bit.

If you do come thru' the Austin/San Antonio area, let me know and maybe
we can meet up at Ironworks or something. :-)

3/$1.00 here

Funny, I still remember when that was expensive, and 10/$1.00 was more
typical in season.
