It looks like it has that red rubbery stuff around the outside. I hate Oxo utensils because of that. I really do not like the feel of that rubbery stuff. I don't know about anyone else, but I've never had a problem with things slipping out of my hands while I'm cooking so I don't see a need for non-slip grips. So, 100 hours duration, eh? Let's see, what do I make that takes 100 hours. Most of the stuff I make only *seems* to take 100 hours. ;-) I think the longest I've ever set my timer for is about 6 hours. The time I smoked a turkey for T-day I put it on at 3am and went back to be and just set my alarm clock to get up and check it at 6am. It was a total of about 12 hours as I recall, but I had to check every couple of hours so I never set the time for more than 3 hours at a time. Anyway, thanks for the info.
