Default corn masa mix?

I was given a bag of this stuff and don't own a tortilla press...
Would it be foolish to try making tortillas using plastic wrap and a
rolling pin?

What else can I make besides tortillas?

Folks have made tortillas for ages without a tortilla press or even
plastic wrap so certainly you should be able to. Tamales come to mind as
a possible alternative.

The mexican places here make sopas and huaraches
basically a flat round of masa with beans and/or cheese inside (so 3 layers)
fried on the grill and then served with whatever you like on top like carne
asada or barbacoa or whatever. They huaraches are longer, more oval shaped,
like a sandal bottom.

Wouldn't be foolish but I'd use waxed paper; I think there'd be less chance
of the tortilla sticking. Having said that, the only thing I've used masa
mix for was tamales.
