Default Thanksgiving and the Hungry

I thought I'd mention that our local Cub Foods is offering a "buy
one/get one free" turkey coupon this week. They suggest that you keep
one and "give" the free one to a shelter. There is a coupon for the
shelter's turkey, so Cub knows that they can donate one.

I don't know if other supermarket chains are doing this, but I think
it's a fantastic idea. I don't usually buy my turkey at Cub Foods, but
I'll do it this year just because it's a free turkey that I can donate.
It certainly doesn't make my own turkey cost any more.

N.,

That's great!

I donate a turkey package to the Church for Thanksgiving. Turkey, all the
fixings, plus two pair of mittens, socks and knit hats for the kids.

Warms MY heart.

One of the good things "The Godfather of Soul, the hardest working man
in America" James Brown does for Augusta, Georgia is his yearly TG
turkey hand out. He also does some toys at Christmas time.

Albertson's in SoCal had the same offer in last week's mail.
