I think she has a rather forced nervous sort of a laugh, but that could just be her trying to appear jovial for the camera. She is a very good cook, however. As for the make-a-wish thing, I wouldn't judge her too harshly for that. Not everyone is suited to it, and just because she has a cooking show doesn't mean she is obligated to reply positively to anyone who asks. Maybe she was too touched by it and didn't think she could hold her emotions in check. I always think the best of people rather than the worst.... especially people I don't know personally. Some people here are FAR too judgemental, saying they hate this one or that one. These folks are PEOPLE just like we are. They have fears, wishes, anxieties, health challenges, etc. etc. Just like we do. And just for the heck of it, I will BET you that Ina has diabetes issues as well. A lot of cooks do, especially the overweight ones....just like the rest of us. Evelyn |

Her laid back way of cooking, no frenzy etc., is soothing. She and Jeffrey don't have children so she might not be comfortable with children she doesn't know. I have only ever seen her Christmas and thanksgiving specials and random
spots on other shows. my only beef with her is she waited until she could monetize her illness with her son having a show and them both being spokespeople for big pharma. the few times I saw her she in NO way said this was a "sometimes" food.. Even then I wouldnt care but I watched her sons show..it the age old replace the fat with less fat and it's "healthy" now garbage. he replaced the glazed doughnut with a whole grain one and declared it healthy. their one type 2 diabetic recipe on their new site replaces the meat in the lasagna with a leaner meat I wasnt one of the people laughing at her for getting sick..but I did take a closer look as to what she was selling then and more importantly what she is selling now. some poor fool is going to think they can eat lasagna and doughnut burgers just like Paula as long as they reduce the fat in the recipe and of course take whatever drug she is pushing. sad.. yep was simply meatballs with rice
were good if they didnt use other bread as a binder too..again that whole bread on bread thing for me. my mom was a carb addict and a type one <didnt end well> and would eat porcupine meatballs over egg noodles and flour gravy... and have garlic bread with it...
