Ellen, would it be ok to ask what the specific diet requires and what options you may have? It's possible one of us can find a 'bread' that is ok for it and a recipe to match since there might be an issue with the one normally used. Things in my mind are 100% whole wheat may work better and you could make it at home then bring it with you. (If there is some sort of blessing over it expected, perhaps the rabbi could do that on the side earlier?). Your mental happiness at sabbath is as important as any other aspect of your overall person heath. So, maybe if you can explain what it needs to be, one of us can find out how to make it in a way that is acceptable for your medical and overall person health needs? |
