Default toasters with electronic settings?

I'm looking for a new 2-slice toaster and note that there are models =
with LED presets, i.e. bagel, defrost, etc. I wonder if these models do =
a better job of toasting to a consistent darkness then the older style =
with a light-dark dial control?

I have one of those, but it includes a light-dark control knob.
You set the knob for whatever darkness you prefer, and then just
push the bagel or frozen or pastry button(s) as needed. The
basic setting works for plain bread, and the bagel button adds
the right amount of time for a bagel. Anyway, mine works fine
except that my wife keeps changing the basic setting. ;-)
