Hello,
I have a new KitchenAid gas cooktop with an integral griddle. According to the appliance repair man (an older appliance needed work), this is a Viking unit. The manual doesn't have much information on cleaning, so I'm looking for some advice. It's starting to season and get darker, but I need to clean the surface. The instructions say to use a "non-metalic" griddle scraper. But I haven't been able to find one. I don't know if a "ScotchBrite" pad would be too rough on the surface. My lovely wife managed to get some bacon particles stuck pretty good. 1) What tool can I use to lightly clean the surface? 2) What is a griddle scraper? A Google search turns up things that look like putty knives. Pete pstryjew at att dot net |
