My wife and I will be buying a new dual-fuel range. I really want one with a
gas stove top and a convection oven. I looked at the Kenmore Elite and really liked the styling of the stove top with the full surface of iron burner grates and the general look and feel. Unfortunately it had a bridge burner which concerned me, since I only occasionally would have that need and think that for typical pans and pots the lack of circular heat would cause a part of the pot or pan to not get as evenly hot as the other parts. So I'm looking for a quality slide dual-fuel range with a convection oven. I really enjoy cooking so I'm willing to spend $2K - $2.5K. would anyone be willing to make some recommendations? Thanks, |

I would asswume that 30" is what your looking for. $2K+ sounds a little bigger. donald |

The broiler isn't fabulous, though, I have to say. I hear the newer ones get hotter as they have more coils now-a-days. But the oven is great, has non-convection mode, convection fan but heated from the bottom, and "true convection", heated through the fan in the back. If you get a Dacor, get the matching set of cookie sheets, too, they fit perfectly. betsy |
