Default PR: The Return of Extreme Beer Fest Opens: January 29, 2005 (Rated X-treme)

Extreme Beer Fest Aims to Kick Winter in the Jubilees!

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Back by popular demand, BeerAdvocate.com is proud to announce the return of
Extreme Beer Fest! The 2nd annual celebration of extraordinary beers will
commence on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at The Cyclorama at The Boston Center
for the Arts, and feature beers that push the boundaries of brewing and the
palates of beer lovers, from hop-monsters to high-alcohol beers to exotic
ingredients to rare and emerging beer styles ... and beyond!

As part of BeerAdvocate.com's ongoing commitment to beer education, the
Extreme Beer Fest will also welcome craft brewers to its interactive Beer
Forum, where attendees can learn more about beer during a series of Extreme
Beer related discussions. This year's honored guest speakers will include:

* Adam Avery (Avery Brewing Company - Boulder, CO)
* Carol Stoudt (Stoud's Brewing Co. - Adamstown, PA)
* Jim Koch (Boston Beer Co. - Boston, MA)
* Peter Egelston & David Yarrington (Smuttynose Brewing Co. - Portsmouth,
NH)
* Sam Calagione (Dogfish Head Craft Brewery - Milton, DE)
* And one more speaker, to be announced.

"Extreme Beer Fest aims to be our best fest ever," revealed Todd Alström,
Co-Founder of BeerAdvocate.com. "Not only are we planning to kick the winter
chill out of everyone's bones, but we're going to WOW palates and open minds
to some of the awesome creativity found in the world of better beer. Have
you ever had a 50 proof beer? A beer aged in whiskey barrels, or a beer that
tastes like a fine wine, port, or cognac? How about a beer made with exotic
or organic fruits? Or beer crafted with complex herbs, spices, or flowers?
You'll not only be able to try them all at the Extreme Beer Fest, but learn
all about them too."

"Oh man, you're going to regret not going when you see this year's beer
list," boasted Jason Alström, Co-Founder of BeerAdvocate.com. "That's why
I'd just plan on attending, and be prepared to get schooled in the world of
Extreme Beer. You won't be disappointed. Promise."

BeerAdvocate.com's Extreme Beer Fest is being held on Saturday, January 29,
2005 at The Cyclorama at The Boston Center for the Arts in Boston, MA.
Tickets for Session One (1-5pm) or Session Two (6-10pm) are only $22.50
(includes handling) in advance, or $30 at the door. Advance tickets are
highly recommended as previous fests have sold-out. For more info to buy
tickets: http://beeradvocate.com/fests/

Extreme Beer Fest is part of BeerAdvocate.com's ongoing Better Beer Fest
Series, which is dedicated to bringing awareness to the better beer scene
through education and respect.
