Default What the Hell happened to real pork ribs!?

Gotta have ribs for M-day, right? I think it's against the law not
to. Well, I went to the supermarket that had pork ribs on sale.
Discovered they were some fatty looking ribs sloshing around in some
pukey looking liquid in a vac-pac. Yuk! So, I figured I'd try
another super. Same thing. After hitting every chain super in town
(4, including an alleged high-end chain), I was totally disgusted.
Real pork ribs in the raw were nowhere to be found. They were all
waterlogged vac-pacs. What the Hell is going on? I finally had to
drive 20 miles to an Asian supermarket that had absolutely gorgeous
lean raw pork ribs. I got a nice 6lb rack for about $13.

I don't know what folk who don't live near an Asian community are
doing. Is it only in CA that crap ribs are being foisted off on us
round eyes?
