Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

Talking Vermont Castings Grill Replacement Parts

I love grilling even though I know absolutely nothing about the parts for my grill. All I know is that I turn it on an 15-20 minutes later all I have is savory goodness. It turns out that my grill just like everything else is not not exempt to upkeep. As you could probably guess I was confused and didn't even know where to start to look for the issue. My husband figured out what my problem was and handed me the duty of finding the part. I checked a few online places who's prices were decent but got told I'd be waiting 6-8 weeks for some oddly shaped piece of metal. I couldn't even believe that. I wasnt about to wait 2 months for something. I called the 888 number on Ibuygrillparts.com and spoke to a man who didn't make me feel like less of a person because im not savvy in matters like this. Turns out I need something called the gasket burner h. Before this experience I couldn't even begin to tell you what that was , as of now I know that its a gasket for a vermont castings grill burner. I had my part within a week. Guess it's true what they say you learn something new everyday.
