Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

Google Groups found the two postings below. The User-Agent
header is certainly consistent with more recent postings,
YA-NewsWatcher, which I don't think is terribly common.

My news server must be in the Emergency Room too, the SOB has been so damn
slow lately. I finally re-configured my old cis.dfn.de so I can read and
post again with some alacrity.

First and most important, Dana Meyer's fine research proves that Monroe is
at the cletusmilo email address and while I don't for a second blame Steve
Calvin for his justifiable caution, I think anyone who wishes to contribute
via Paypal can feel comfortable knowing that whatever you care to send will
wind up in the right pocket. For those of you who can, I hope you will,
too. I know Monroe and Miranda and can tell you that they have good reasons
for compartmentalizing their email addresses (among the lesser reasons,
Miranda is a criminal defense lawyer). I've exchanged personal snail mails
with them many times and spoken to them on the phone when they hunted me
down after Hurricane Charley.

Harry D has had the pleasure of meeting them in person only a month or so
ago when they attended a cooking school in North Carolina. In other words,
Monroe and Mary are real people, beset by a real tragedy.

Second, thanks to you who've sent me Usenet and personal good wishes after
my recent "event." I do appreciate the many fine friendships I've made here
over the years.

Thanks Jack. Your the person who, through related mails, that
convinced me that my concerns should be put at ease, and they were.
When I'd heard that you knew them my "caution" flew out the window.
