Default Monroe of Course

I just got a reply from Monroe & Mary, he felt good enough to write back and
sounds like he is hangin' in.
Seems they lost their "furry & feathered" friends, which makes them both a
bit sadder than might have been, but as he says
"Being alive means that the glass is definitely more than half full-keep the
good thoughts coming our way-we need 'em.
Lovingly,

monroe and mary/miranda"

Dang it, why the hell does NC have to be so fur from OR?

NO! They lost their pets!?!?!? Oh my God. To lose your house and
belongings is one thing, to keep your life is another, but to lose your
pets........... I'm sorry. I'm fully crying. Please, please extend my
condolences.

I couldn't bring myself to pass on that information. You are right. As
much as my wife likes to think I don't like her cats, bird and horses, I
do, and I would be devastated if we lost them all.

We both cried when we read his reply, we lost one of our family last Feb and
it is such a loss, I don't know who among us are dog people but I sent this
quote back to Monroe.

"If its true that dogs don't go to heaven, well sir, when I go I wanna go
where they went"

We don't have horses (that's about all we don't have) but otherwise you
wrote exactly what I feel, too. I have a feeling my wife would go back in
for them...unless I tied her down. It always just sucks my guts out when I
hear of someone losing everything in a fire.
