? does the kcbs prefer sweet barbeque to savory? I recently was at a kcbs
cookoff and it seemed the sweeter the que the higher the score. I just need
to know if thats what they prefer. I like both and I thought that the savory
at the contest was a lot better, but I'm not a judge.
Respond please

KCBS is only the sanctioning organization. They don't tell the judges to
like sweet or savory - judges decide for themselves. Lots of luck involved.
I think is savory is doing better than sweet these days, at least compared
to 5-7 years ago.
