Today is my Q day I am smoking a pork butt
I started a fire on a cherry stump I cut down last year. I used 10-15
briquets to get the party going
and set my wood smoker box over the stump. ocassionaly I throw on a couple
peices of hardwood oak flooring every 30-60 minutes

nope its raw wood, you install than sand the floor to get it flat.

of course they do make prefinished stuff
all the scraps from that goes to the landfill

Shoot-that Cowboy brand lump is about 60% tongue and grooved oak
flooring offcuts. Even after charring it still fits together!

I was REALLY admiring the firebox over a stump too, I'd love to see pics.
It's not like you could do this forever, but damn, starting a stump on fire
and using it to smoke with........ Man, I'd love to see pics.
