Yield revisited
18.47 pounds of raw meat. One picnic, one butt. I got exactly 8 pounds of
finished product. That's 43%. Oops, I forgot about the pound I had to eat to see if it was any good. That brings the yield up to almost 49%. I suppose if I'd done 2 butts the yield would have been better, but there was more than enough for the party as it was. I won't be doing any more calculations like this cause I really don't care that much. <G> TFM® |
