Default I finally got a WSM

Mama and the kids were really nice to me last weekend, and ordered a
WSM from Amazon. It came in yesterday, looks great, and weighs far
more than my tired old rusty ECB.

I can't wait to cook a shoulder in there, and then locate a nice hunk
of brisket. :-)

Thanks for the heads-up on that Amazon deal, whoever mentioned it.

I'll light a fire in 'er tonight to burn off the nasties, move my
thermometer from the ECB, and consummate the relationship with pork in
the morning. mmmmmm, can't wait.

Dude, I burned 3 ECB's down to the ground and toasted a concrete block pit
before I got my first WSM.

You will be *SOOOOOO* amazed at the difference. Congrats on your good
fortune. (BTW, I expect my 'first' WSM to be my last. They're built
*quite* a bit better than Brinkmann crap)

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll enjoy. You may want to
consider putting handles or knobs on the main housing as
well as thermometers at both grate levels.

Holes drill easily if you're careful.

You can kind of see them here. If you would like a larger
pic, just yell.

Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I can kinda see 'em if I close my eyes really tight and drop a hit of acid.

WTF are you talking about?

I'm going to buy a WSM fairly soon myself for this precise reason. I
have a Brinkman, but it's very much on it's last legs.I got 5 solid
years of use out of it doing mebbe one cook a month. Everybody I talk
to who uses WSM's on the competition circuit say they are built like
tanks. Good enough for me. I don't mind spending the money to get
something that good. I'm not planning on doing the competition thing
yet, but mebbe one day on down the road I might.

From one parrot-head to another; Ya can't go wrong there.

I have a job. I frame houses in ****in Florida. I can take the heat. How
about you get out of my ****in' kitchen?

I'm 40 years old and I've ****ed your Mother more times than I care to
mention, so forget that back to school thing.

You have inadvertently stepped into a trap.
It would be wise of you to let go of the bait now!

**** in ya,

I put the thermo under the top grate right away. That grate is big
enough for all my current plans, so one will work for now. I missed
having those body handles almost immediately, I'll have to add some.

Thanks guys...the first shoulder on Saturday was excellent. It'll take
me a couple cooks to unlearn some things, but it's all good. :-)
