The language has diverged, and it is folly to seriously claim that
authority over the language rests on either side of the Atlantic ocean.
I *DO* hope your comments about the spelling of humor were in jest, and
not the ravings of yet another Brit who hasn't noticed that the world
has changed in the past several hundred years. (Not always for the
better, but it certainly has changed.)
