I know I am rooting against the home team here, being from NZ, but my advice is
to stay away from F&P. They use really crappy components. I had nothing but
trouble with the F&P appliances I had, with the sole exception of a chest
freezer which is fine.

My brand spanking new F&P kitchen stove had to have 3 new element switches in
the first year, for instance. They have power points on the stoves here, the
F&P power point melted internally, the switch for the power point
disintegrated. And I was only using it for the wee coffee grinder. Several
friends had no end of trouble with their F&P washing machines: multiple failed
electronics (only covered by warranty the first time, second time 6 months
later they had to pay), melted loom ...

Crap, crap, crap. I will never buy of them again.
