I would have to say my Mom used to make the worst 'chili' I've ever tasted.
She used to mix 2 cans of red kidney beans with 2 cans of Campbell's tomato
soup, 2 soup-cans of water and a pound of browned ground beef and called it
'chili'. UGH.
IMO, chili is supposed to be thick and meaty; it's supposed to have some
body to it and a little heat. This was Campbell's 'Chili Beef Soup' before
Campbell's decided to make it. (laughing) And even they took it off the
shelf and remade it into a 'chunky' soup
