I added some extra pans to put the coals in and grill in the main smoker
chamber rather than using the fire box. I added the pans to protect the
bottom so it would not get burned out.

It works well for just about anything. ;-) Just open the fire box
damper and the chimney cap to get good air flow thru when you close the
lid.
