buying a BBQ
Hi all,
I'm considering buying a bbq. I thought I might go for one that uses hot coals to cook as opposed to gas ones. Can the hot coal ones come in larger sizes as opposed to the small webber ones? I have the wood/charcoal burning type, and I can fit an entire 8 month old emu carcass in mine. ;-) It's a New Braunfels Smoker with the fire box on one side. I HAVE used it for grilling also in the main chamber by adding fire boxes to the bottom under the grills. Works great. http://www.nbsmoker.com/smokers.html Mine is the Black Diamon model. :-) -- K. Webers come in a variety of sizes, the 22-inch are pretty sizable. I have a 17 and a 22. Webers are built like tanks, they'll last virtually forever. I recently added a Weber Smoky Mountain for real BBQ action. Brian |

I added the pans to protect the bottom so it would not get burned out. It works well for just about anything. ;-) Just open the fire box damper and the chimney cap to get good air flow thru when you close the lid. -- K.
