Assam Moran Estate / Percolators / Pu
Anyone had the subject tea? How does it taste? Cocoa notes in it, I
read, but what's the main flavor characteristic? I got it for mornings
when I'm having it particularly rough. Hopefully the hot water can at
work is hot enough for a black tea. I used it for some bagged chai
today, and it seemed to do pretty well, and I've heard reports of it
making the 165F (on a gas stove at least) sound, which I'm guessing is
either rapid nucleation on the heat transfer surface or some kind of gas
coming out of solution... I'm bringing a thermometer to it on Monday.
I'm going to revisit the Tuo Cha, with a beginning rinse for 30 seconds
or so. It really bothers me there's a tea of which I didn't like the
flavor. I usually like, or aquire, the taste of just about anything.
