It's not a neutral taste. There are folks here you say that you are
very non-discerning about food. In this case, they'd be correct.
Soy oil is the cheapest, shittiest tasting oil, other than maybe
Canola. There's a reason why those of us who can taste the
difference don't buy cheap, shitty oils. Even me, who is Mr.
Frugality wouldn't use soy oil for anything other than starting a
campfire. Sunflower oil is neutral. Peanut oil is reasonably
neutral. Soy oil is just cheap.
