Costco has lost its mind

They are not making anything on the hot dog, I'd guess. Seems a matter
of pride to keep it at that price.

And it's not just plain, either, there are toppings. Onions, relish
and I think sauerkraut? if you want them. Anyway, it's a bargain and
people love it.
