Well let's see about that one too.

How about?

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/p...recipe-1948791

Ingredients

3 cups thinly sliced Vidalia onions
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (9-inch) prebaked deep-dish pie shell
2 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon kosher salt
4 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled

I wager you can add in Lipton onion soup mix and get a bang up pie!

Or:

Ingredients

Crust:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher or Hawaiian salt
1/4 cup cold all-vegetable shortening, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Cold water

Filling:
1/4 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon water for egg wash
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 pounds Vidalia onions, thinly sliced
3 large eggs, beaten
1 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon kosher or Hawaiian salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Freshly grated Parmesan

Btw, this next link is page 7 of a wealth of onion soup mix recipes that
Lipton has online, sadly no onion pie though:

But there are some really great dishes in these pages, enjoy!
