That's my attitude too. I use it because the recipe calls for it, and
if it happens to do me some good then great! In fact, I'll be making
a turmeric cream sauce to accompany salmon tonight - if I don't make a
pineapple, mango, roasted corn & cilantro salsa. They're both easy, so
it's just a matter of what I'm in the mood for at dinner time.
