Assembly order of BLT sandwich?

That's an interesting concept....mix together first. I'll have to try
that. For PBJ sandwiches, I always put peanut butter on both bread
slices, then jam or preserves in the middle. Putting jam or preserves
on plain bread, it soaks in and is not so good to me.
When toasting the bread, I keep the two slices as open sandwiches.
Toast, peanut butter, then jam or preserves. Usually grape jam or
strawberry preserves.
