Well,in any case,most of our tomatoes are blanched in boiling water
for caning.Wife canned 70 qts.and 24 pts.last year.Yes,i helped her.The
tomatoes for eating are washed,those pesky deer might have 'watered'
them.Only gardeners know the fine flavor of a freshly picked tomato.
