This one was like I had one then had chills and a fever for three days then
another flare-up chest, neck , back pains, yellow skin, I was on my 4th day
of pain when I finally told hubby it was time to go to the emergency room.
They said if I stayed they still wouldn't be able to do the surgery for a
couple of days...so I chose to take the meds home(they had already given me
a Dilaudid and morphine in the vein) So felt good enough to go home...bad
idea, the first day I was ok slept allot because of the drugs, the next day
I took Dilaudid and vicodin...two hours apart from each other, the next day
another flare-up happened , it lasted all night then finally eased a
bit...still had side pain but no more tummy and chest pain, lots of
nausea...no vomiting TG. Finally got an appointment with a surgeon. Today I
feel good, had some chicken noodle soup....I have barely eaten anything the
last week and a half...a piece of toast daily...maybe a couple tablespoons
of cereal an egg. I was scared to eat anything with fat. My appointment is
Monday hopefully we can get a date for the surgery soon...don't want anymore
of these kind of flare-ups. When I was in emergency they took my BG, it was
155...she said that was good...I told her for me it was not. I hadn't eaten
that day and I told her I like my numbers below 110. She looked at me like I
was nuts. I think it was elevated because of pain and my liver may have
dumped. I also went off of my metformin because of the nausea I was having.
My numbers are still good.
