Default Once tasted, never forgotten

About 30yrs ago there was a tiny downtown "row" restaurant here called
Magnificos. I heard one chef ran off with another chef's spouse and two
restaurants closed!

They sold cold pasta salads-three total! You could get large containers
to go, or eat-in single servings. Chicken Pesto w Pine nuts was one. I
have forgotten one.

Third was Rainbow Pepper Beef. Strips of red green yellow sweet peppers
were sliced and mixed with matching size strips of roast beef, and
pasta. Small amount of bits of spring onion was also in the dish. The
heat came from this clear amber oil used as the dressing. These pasta
salads were totally addictive.

So today I visited another asian store-this one appeared to be more
korean but food from all asian countries. Nice place you can tell they
care. I bought a can of sweetened red bean paste to try, and a bottle of
oil-the color exactly matches the color of the hot oil in that long ago
salad so I have high hopes.

Peppercorn Chili Oil-contains soybean oil, dried chili peppers, sesame
oil, garlic, salted chili peppers, soy sauce, peppercorn oil, salt,
sugar, and the usual chemicals listed as the end.
