Hi Ripon

I'd apreciate to know why tea is (as far as i know) planted just up the
slope (like wine) and not on terraces. Is there an actual reason to do
so, or is it just the way it is traditionally grown?

Or am I completely wrong and there also are plantations that use
terraces for their plants? Then: On which basis does one decide whether
to grow the tea on terraces rather than on the slope?

thanks
Patrick
