There's no real recipe to it: Just doctor baked beans however you like, put
them into a shallow oven-safe pan, and put the pan on a smoky covered grill
for about 20 minutes.

I doctor canned beans with whatever I think will complement the other items
in the menu. To accompany the meatloaf burgers I'd do this:

Put some dry mustard, onion chunks, and cider vinegar into a blender. Blend
until onion is just about liquefied, adding mustard or vinegar to get a
thick liquid consistency. Allow to sit for at least a couple hours (or up to
a day and a half; the mustard will mellow considerably in that time). Add
black pepper and brown sugar; taste for balance: The mixture should taste
sweet, sour, peppery, and sharp equally. Stir mixture into canned baked
beans and pour into an oven-safe pan. Cook on a smoky grill (I like oak for
this) for twenty minutes or so. If you want, you can add cheese in the final
five minutes, but you don't want to add it much earlier lest the cheese suck
up too much of the smoke and become bitter.
