Range hood selection

With Broan, you have to move up their lines to get anything acceptable. Our
Broan Allure III (model #QS330SS) is 1/3 the height and 1/3 the price of the
mentioned GE hood (which I do like, if only I had the room). The Allure III is
0.8 sones at its normal 300 CFM speed, and 8 sones at its "turbo" 430 speed.
which we need only for high heat searing. At its lowest speed, I can't hear it;
at the next speed, I can barely hear it, only because I know I have it on. We're
quite happy with it.
