Default Spit Roast - What to serve with it ?

Hello,

I'm having a bqq this weekend and have decided to cook a spit roast a
joint of lamb and beef.

I'm having trouble thinking of things to serve with it though ?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers.

With lamb, I like ajvar (roasted redpepper-eggplant relish) and chopped
onions.

With beef, I like a horseradish sauce.

Santa Maria style pinquito beans or cannelini (white kidney) beans.

Leaf lettuce, ripe tomato, and sweet onion salad.

Cheese, olive, and prosciutto appetizer.

Fresh rustic bread.

Fresh fruit pie or cobbler, or, a baklava type of pastry.

recipes on request-

D.M.
