Greek Chefs Learn Turkish Cuisine
Istanbul, Turkey, November 18, 2003 - As part of the Turkish Training protocol between Turkey and Greece, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is administering Turkish cuisine training courses for aspiring Greek chefs. Three culinary experts from the Tourism Education Center of the Ministry are giving courses on the preparation of various dishes, in the soup, olive oil, desserts, pastry and Ottoman cuisine categories. Field trips to renowned restaurants are also being arranged. Nine apprentice cooks from the Tourism Training School in Greece are in Istanbul for the program. The Culture and Tourism Ministry's Research Training General Manager in Istanbul Solmaz Bayburt said that a seminar was held on Turkish cuisine's historical development, dating back to the Ottoman era, dishes cooked on special days and specialties from the different regions. Bayburt said the Greek cooks would also be given applied training. The Greek team's Group Chef Andonis Sarimavroyanis said that Turkish food was essential in any cook's repertoire, and that with the knowledge gained from the course, the team would, in turn, teach cooks in their own country about Turkish cuisine. Commenting on the extent of Turkish-Greek co-operation in the fields of tourism and cuisine, Sarimavroyanis underlined the remarkable likeness of the two country's cuisines. Certificates will be given to the Greek cooks when the program ends, on November 21. |

Learning Disorders occur when the child or adolescent's reading,
math, or writing skills are substantially below that expected for age, schooling, and level of intelligence. Approximately 65% of students in public schools in the Turkey are identified as having a learning disorder(OTH WoofWoof's school was 99%). Students(Sean) with learning disorders may become so frustrated with their performance in school that by adolescence they may feel like failures and want to post in newsgroups 24/7.We all can see in this newsgroup the results, mindless postings full of hate for Greeks,Kurds,Armenians, even Arabs and Iranians.Since they can't comprehend what they are reading their posts reflect the Learning Disorders that are so common to Turks like WoofWoof,Amin etc. Seanie O'Kilfoyle wrote: > "Emy & Neil Bulloch" > wrote in message > ... > > Does this fool have anything else to better to do? > > > > Who's the fool ? > > Even your nic betrays your schizophrenic demeanor |
